Personnal Notes:

1- I just made the blog because i was happy to already have 5 different countries with the will to do something between us. I got motivated 
2- I do not want to be the coordenator of the project, so the place is open to anyone. I am just a worker in a common cause. Because in the end the concerns are for all, and not just one.
 
3- I will continue the search for more different countries but i believe we already have a great "workforce".

4- I would like very much for you to help me improve this since this is my first blog, and i believe it can be a good place to put our thoughts/iddeas

Project's main iddea

The basic/rough iddea of the project would be the learning of a coreography/dance from each country. Popular, traditional and even modern dance.And share it with our collegges and make the students participate in the project by dancing, by learning, by watching (and laughing) the other students trying to "dance" your popular/traditional music. 

And of course in the middle of all this, allow and motivate the students to chat/wirte emails, etc, communicate beteen countries, using a common language - english.

We already have many iddeas how to do this, and motivate the students to learn this but we are teachers, so we are always open for more. Like i said before, we can always try to adapt the theme/subject to the schools and teachers, since i trully believe the most important are the human resources - "us"! If we have them, with a great will, well... we have almost everything....

except the funds, hehe

Through sports/dance, we break the barrier of ice that usually exists between people at first. When we practice we laugh, we enjoy, we make mistakes and after correct them, and we develop social skills, and we can chat/write to students from the partners' group, we improve our health, we improve the motivation to learn english so they can communicate better, well, i am sure you already know how good it is not just for the students, but also for us, teachers. We have more work, but it is a very good feeling to learn and discover new countries, people, friends, schools. In the end we return for more projects, so, the balance is always very positive.

We want to apply for a preparatory visit that would lead to a Comenius project with teachers' mobility only.

Comenius Preparatory Visit

I think we should apply for a preparatory visit within the Comenius Project, so everything can be finnancied - that means that we will not pay anything, which in these difficult moments of Europe is very important, hehe

How many days can we be in another country? (maximum)
5 days including the days of travel, so that would be 3 days in the country and 2 days for travel.

How much money can we ask for the visit to our National agency?
Depends on each National Agency, but in general, they have already numbers for each travel and a fixed rate for each day. Example - they have a price for a trip to every country ( in Portugal maximum for the trip is 500€), and they have a fixed rate for each day, example - 70 € per day. For a total of 5 days i would get in this example 500+70*5=850€

The Apllication Form
The apllication form for the preparatory visit can be written in our native language or for example in english, but we must confirm this in each National agency .

The dates to apply?
Minimum, 8 weeks before we pretend to have the preparatory visit.

When do we know the result of the application? When do we know if we will get the grant to go to the visit?
Only 2 or 3 weeks before going. So we must prepare everything like we were supposed to go. In Portugal, they say we always have money for this, but the quality of the application form, must have at leats 65of 100 points.

Necessity of the preparatory Visit?
 -It is very important to complete the application to a comenius project. We try to complete all the formularium to a comenius project.
-We get to know each other much better and face to face.
-We explain our iddeas better
-We should put our wishes and hopes on the paper
-It is much easier to get funds for a preparatory visit than to a comenius project
-We get a boost in our motivation for the project
- We have time and company to work on the project, because usually i only work in Portugal in my free time, and not as a necessity.
